Lenovo is based in Hongkong and therefore under Chinese influence. I have heard of malicious software tools on Lenovo laptops under windows but in the Linux community Thinkpads are really well regarded. Are any OS independent backdoors or risks known for Thinkpads or can I use one without sending data to the CCP when using Linux? And if not is there any way to make them secure and private?
