Am I ridiculous for being hesitant regarding the State Farm Drive Safe and Save app?

They provide you a "beacon" you put in your car that connects to your phone via bluetooth. You install an app on your phone (I'm on iOS) and in the app you are prompted to give your location details at all times.

I questioned the representative about this and they said I could turn off bluetooth, but doesn't location services include gps and wifi based location details as well as bluetooth?
