About to get new work laptop from my employer. Anything I can do to check for monitoring software?

I work from home here in the UK.
My employer has recently ordered me a work machine which they will "lock down" before I get it. Basically, it's going to be restricted to certain networks and access etc...
But, my main concern is how I can determine if there is any snooping software installed on it once I get my hands on it?
